Oh! I'm strangely surprised by how much this drawing of Jake looks such an awful lot like me. In the face that is for I have worked hard in my life to avoid that type of rounded chest and giant pudgy limbs. Though I am usually quite smiley, I notice the pout has become mine too, I can feel my lips striking just that pose as I write. The tree like neck is a bit of an exaggeration, but I do feel mine is extra strong and Jake's was quite sturdy as well, just the best to get my fingers up around that jaw bone and around the back of his neck for a bit of massaging relief. It made him sigh. He must have used that big neck of his a lot for holding up his giant Newfoundland head. What? Self portraits in every piece, where did I hear that? Was it Kay Armstrong or some psychology book in college?
