The thing I like about this drawing of kicking dog is that he's so much happier and sort of dumb and square. The drawing here was as fun as making the sculpture which is not always the case when drawing, for me. I also like the chalkboard look of the reversed printing because it speaks to my early painting inability to remember whether light made an area recede or move forward. Here I can tell it just doesn't really matter. The last thing I'll say is how remarkably like Jake's the tail looks.
