In the '70's, the Punk Rock Era began. This collection of Punk Rock Stories is a place to collect stories which do not directly refer to the images I've published in Punk Rock Pictures. What I publish here is my own remembrances and those emailed to me by correspondents. I'm interested in accounts of what happened when, where, to whom, primarily in the '77 - '82 early Punk Rock period in either San Francisco or New York City.
I visited Dallas, for a few months, in '82, I have a few stories to tell about the Punk Rock scene there as well. Correspondents with remembrances of other locations are welcome, the archive will expand as needed.
Email conversations between myself and those who email me will be considered for publication here. The stories should be accurate, at least to the best of the writer's sincere understanding and memory. Readers are welcome to provide factual corrections, provide additional information. All contributions are voluntary and are subject to publication, without further notification, in an edited form I deem appropriate.
This is intended to be an archive of original sources, supplementing other published accounts of late '70's - early '80's Punk Rock.
