One time we had a recording session and the band all showed up at the studio, but there was no David. The rest of The Undead was freaking out, because we had already paid for the studio time, but the hours passed and still no David. Fortunately the studio people were real understanding and said it was alright for us to put off recording until the following day and there would be no charge. The next day David Vacant shows up like nothing had happened, but the mystery was too much for me so I asked him what the fuck kept him from an important thing like recording.

You might remember that he had that speech thing and that he talked strangely (one story he told was that he was stabbed through the cheek, the other was that he was shot through it, I never did get a straight answer on that either), anyway He came up with some fantastic story about how he couldn't make it because right after we had played the night before the recording session, "two hot chicks" had "kidnapped" him and wouldn't let him out of the car. They supposedly drove him across the bridge to the East bay and both repeatedly had their sweaty naked way with him tag-team fashion, then doubling up, and wouldn't drive him back into town for the recording session. I just rolled my eyes and said "Yeah, right. It's another one of those David Vacant stories".

Turned out later that it was absolutely true, because I met the girls and they admitted it! In fact, they wanted me to be their next target, but I wouldn't have any part of it Not only did I have a girlfriend at the time, but also I KNEW what David had gotten up to in the past and didn't want to swim in his wake. Haha That guy, it amazed me then and still does now, that decrepit punker got more chicks than anybody I knew. I don't know what his secret was, but he could have gotten rich if he'd found a way to bottle it. So, we recorded a day late, but everything turned out all right.
