The first time I lived in New York, 1981 - '82, New York Punk Rock was absorbing the influence of what we started to call, "Hardcore". I lived on E.13th, East Village and followed Punk Rock. Nancy Breslow included some of my show reviews in her weekly, one-sheet, Jim Short's Short News. I saw many flavors of Punk Rock and related musics in 1981 and '82. I've written a few of my stories, there are a few more I could write.
Now, in 2002, I'm interested in web-publishing stories about those days. There is room in Punk Rock Stories for your stories, or pictures. Here, in the New York section, I'd like to read your stories about New York Punk Rock in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
